All I can remember is that a family of four (mom, dad, teenage boy, younger sister) go on a vacation. They find this abandoned "ghost town" where the boy finds a video recorder with the tape still in it. He plays the recording: a young woman is crying and saying her final words, then looks offscreen in horror and begins screaming; the tape goes black. The younger sister is now frightened and a parent asks the teen to stop scaring her. Much later in the movie, they are trying to escape a second town where time seems to have stopped (people doing the same things over and over again). As they are trying to leave these ?monsters? are chasing them and their car ends up flipping over off the road. The next scene shows the family in the town, performing the same things over and over again (the teen boy is throwing basketballs through a hoop over and over). The movie ends. So... am I confusing several movies or does anyone recognize this and what it was called?
