My skool is having its annual talent show and i want to perform a song but i have no idea wot to sin

i have a pretty good voice and range, im 14 and would like to sing a song that showcases my voice. id prefer a slow song so i dont have to dance as well as sing and i wanna have a live band so id like a song that uses an electric guitar and drum kit, i know its alot to ask but.............any suggestions???

the voice within by christina agularia i know what your thinking ugghh but it is a pretty song listen to it and see if you like it it is a slow song but i don't think you can have a band for that

try to steer clear of songs by "divas," since their ranges are usually too much for most people.



Songs by Jewel tend to be very attainable, lots of people can sing them well, and they're popular enough that people will recognize what you're singing.



Actually a lot of female country singers produce a lot of very singable, recognizable songs. Even if you're not a big fan of country, start there. I'm not, but there's a lot of funny, entertaining songs for karaoke-ing!

i sang at a talent show 2 years ago and played guitar...i wrote the song. but i think any song would do..choose one you love. i know this is kinda out there but if you have heard of kathy mattea? well, she has some songs have a big range, you could tweak with the music a bit to make it your own sort of style...that really goes with any song though. try something like the wreckers...aly and aj have really good music (slow or fast) with electric guitar and drums
