Well I write about music. I go to school for journalism and music, in an unacclaimed major I like to call music publication lol...I get to meet amazing artist and musicians. I most interview rappers. Famous and underground rappers from everywhere. try to steer clear of songs by "divas," since their ranges are usually too much for most people.

Songs by Jewel tend to be very attainable, lots of people can sing them well, and they're popular enough that people will recognize what you're singing.

Actually a lot of female country singers produce a lot of very singable, recognizable songs. Even if you're not a big fan of country, start there. I'm not, but there's a lot of funny, entertaining songs for karaoke-ing!

Hi,

my wife had an amniocentesis performed around 16 weeks which showed our baby was XY, that is, a boy. When the amnio was performed, the doctor told us the baby was 95% a girl according to what she was seeing on the ultrasound. When we received the results of the amnio the doctor told us she wanted to see us again because she was very surprised it was a boy. We did another ultrasound at 18 weeks and she saw a scrotum and a penis, although 'smaller and wider' than usual. She said that usually at this stage the penis should be 'floating' around but here it was a bit curved instead. She told us maybe the baby had hypospadias where the urethra does not go all the way to the head of the penis. She also showed us 3 lines that did look like female genitalia. I'm so scared my baby will be born with a penis and a vagina now, I'm scared maybe he has hypospadias... She did say she could not confirm anything at this time though. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

an ultrasound is not 100% accurate, so don't go panicking before you have to. Hypospadias is not a very bad thing to have wrong, some surgery early on will take care of it, they will probably use his foreskin to make it normal.

Hard Drive won't appear in windows Gparted screwed me?

I had 3 partitions on my hard drive, 80gb NTFS(Windows XP install)40gb ex2/swap/ex3(ubuntu), and 40gb unallocated(reserved for mac). Well, while in Ubuntu. I tried to format the unallocated area to a fat32 partition using the Gparted GUI built in with Ubuntu. This was my first time, I usually use partition magic. Well I applied the change. There was an error saying the action couldn't be performed. I clicked OK. It shows in Gparted as a fat32 partition that can't be touched now. Windows no longer boots from it's partition. Ubuntu DOES boot just fine. I installed a second hard drive as master and booted to XP on it and was just going to use partition magic and start from clean slate. XP realizes there is a secondary drive, but doesn't show it anywhere. Partition magic only picks up the master drive also. I can't use Gparted AT ALL it won't reformat, resize, or do anything since the error. QTpartition doesn't work. How can I save my drive? I don't mind lost data. It's all backed up.

If cfdisk doesn't work and your computer has a floppy drive get a copy of dban and use that to "low level" format your drive. You can't actually low level format a drive anymore and dban will either fill your drive with random data(this is used for security puproses) or fill it with zeros(a "low level" format). The disk image for dban is located here http://dban.sourceforge.net/ . Also you can use dban off of a cd/dvd or a flashdrive.

Well it looks like you didn't create it as an extended partition. A hard drive can only have 4 logical partitions which are your windows and all your partitions for Ubuntu. You will have to use cfdisk to fix it. Ubuntu should have it you will also need to run it as root or you can use the Disk manager in windows to try and fix it. Here is how to run the Disk manager in windows:

Click Start %26gt; Run and type diskmgmt.msc in the Open: line and click OK. The Disk Management snap-in will open. Then go from there.

GParted is not - um - quality software.

I'd recommend formatting the drive and rebuilding your various OS installations.
As long as you have the Window XP installation disk you can fix this problem. I have done this about 15 time with my computers. Warning: you will need 1 to 2 days to do this. Start you computer and go into the setup or bios. Go to the startup order the set the first thing that the computer starts off of to be the drive that the windows installation disk will be in. Exit the bios, insert the disk and restart the computer. If you are prompted to press a key to boot of of the cd do so. Allow the computer to do its thing. follow the setup and select the trouble some drive and format, then install windows on it (important step). Partition as you wish. The whole instalation should take about an hour. Once windows is installed, set the boot order back to normal and install the rest of your software. I found a drive that had some weird type of formatting on it. It allowed the previous owner to use the drive on a system that couldnt handle the drive because it was too big. So what this software did was create an overlay on the drive to trick the OS of the day into beleiving that the drive was the correct size. I couldnt do anything with that drive untill I found the overlay software to undo the special formatting. I assume that ubuntu has done something similar and ONLY ubuntu can repair or reverse it.

Next time, if you want 3 OS's use 3 separate drives

I want to start auditioning for some shows at my local theatre.

I know how to sing and act, but at the audition, they show you a dance combination and you have to do it.

I've had NO dance experience.

As far as I know, theatrical productions require some footwork so you need some dancing skills. Not necessarily you need to be a good dancer but you need to have the basics and a good body coordination. You cant be on theater if you move like a robot.

Of course, I know the name of the performance in the show, which is called "Enrapture" and I think its amazing. I love the girl "Illusia"s performance, I think is beautiful. And since I was little I wanted to do this kind of performance, but never got the chance, cuz from where I live, there're not many performance arts or circus school around. But I hope Im not too late to learn.

Yes, Illusia is a beautiful character, but I think there's two things related to this. The art and the style.

About the art, is a kind of magic called Great Illusions. Magicians have specialties (same as doctors), and a Illusionist is the one who performs this big scale tricks, there's other types like manipulation, close up and card magic, mentalism, etc.

The illusion here called "Enrapture" is NOT a Criss Angel's original. Is a presentation of a "De Kolta Chair", created by french magician Bautier De Kolta in 1886.

That carries me to the next part: the style. If that magic is over 100 years old, how do you make it look like if it is a new creation? With style. Imprinting your own vision to a classic thing. That is what difference Criss Angel from David Copperfield and Ringling Brothers from Cirque du Soleil.

Finding your own style is the most difficult part of any performing art. That come with the years, and a lot of rehearsals. It's a journey of self discovery.

Perhaps you're more interested into the look of the performance than the magic itself. It doesn't matter. You can do that, with time and practice.

But the first thing you have to do is to define what kind of art(s) is the one you wants to perform: magic? dancing? acting? juggling? Because many of those are related to acting and/or dancing as a background. And once you have it clear, then you can focus on the style and looks of it.

This is called magic, I call it fooling the eye, Chris is an illusionist, what you have to learn to do this is magic, to be very fast with your hands in order to fool people, it takes of years of practice to get this down just right to the point of people not seeing what it is that your doing, this is a talent that not too many have, you have to be very fast!!!!! Impossible expectations of professional wrestlers?

Kurt Angle nearly kills himself downing painkillers to perform at top levels each show. Demands from competing shows over the years require more extreme, health risking stunts. A road schedule that requires 300 traveling days each year.

We hear about drug overdoses (Crash Holly), heart failures (Eddie, Mr. Perfect, Andre the Giant) and stunts gone wrong (Owen Hart) resulting in deaths.

Are these businesses expecting too much of their talent? What must be changed to stop these peak performers from dying and causing permanent physical damage at such early ages? Or, simply put, is this their chosen profession and do they deserve to go through this in return for the superstardom and giant paychecks?

I am not trying to be rude, but when you are writing questions, can you possibly just ask the question and not write a book.
It's arguably one of the most stressful jobs out there. Tons of injuries, long periods of time without their families, being surrounded by drugs and more, having to keep your body in top shape or possibly lose your job, and the pure fact that most wrestlers never make it farther than wrestling for low pay in a high school gym. And not only that, but despite it being more physically demanding than most sports, it is much less respected because it is "fake." Definately a hard job for anyone.

Some people suggest WWE should have an off-season for them to rest, but that would be a huge hit to the company and the wrestlers financially, and many casual fans would leave and take their business elsewhere or just not watch at all. If we cut house shows, then wrestlers will lose a lot of money, as that is where they earn most of it.

WWE needs to shave a few house shows and cut 1 or 2 PPV's for one thing. Give their wrestlers a good week or so where they can rest. As for the wrestlers, they need to know their limits and know when they have to take a break, and the business should also keep an eye on their talent as well. Steroid use, of course, should be stopped, as evidenced by Eddie Guerrero and Dynamite Kid, and they should also watch our for other forms of drug abuse. A problem in the business is that wrestlers are paid by appearance, so if they don't wrestle and thus, get hurt and physically exert themselves in the process, they won't get any money, which is still only a meager amount. That will not be so easy to fix. Also, perhaps the fans should stop expecting so much of the talent too.

There's no real way to fix the wrestling industry. But steps can be taken to improve it.

How will a music producer make money in the future?

Everyone is stealing music these days and as a result the industry is suffering.

Some argue that it's a good thing, because it brings the artists who can actually perform a good live show to the forefront. In other words, people will share their mp3's for free, but will pay big money to see them perform live.

That's all fine and dandy.

But what about the producer who does all their work behind the scenes in the studio? People like Quincy Jones, Rick Rubin, Jimmy Jam %26amp; Terry Lewis, Dr. Dre, etc...

Producers historically made their money by taking a percentage of album sales. But if there are little or no album "sales", how will they earn their bread %26amp; butter?

How will studio musicians earn money? I am thinking of one group called Van Gough. They are two wheel-chair bound musicians whose artistry is in their studio-productions. They simply cannot perform live. Are they basically screwed financially thanks to technology "advances"?

Unfortunately, the reality is that theft IS common now and harder to police. So it will require a new solution.

I think it will have to be in the performance area. Producers will have to take more of the rights of the artist and a bigger share of the sales in shows and other performances. As far as people not being able to perform, that is just part of the business now unfortunately. Which is too bad too because I enjoy a lot of music that I hate seeing live. I think many bands' stage presence is horrible.

Quality of music will drop, ticket prices will go up, and the share that the band gets will become less.

So they're reuniting. That's great and all, but they're getting old, and they're not making new material. To be honest, the only way I could be excited about a Led Zeppelin reunion is if I actually get to see them play. Unfortunately, one ticket is estimated at sixty pounds, or about $120 dollars, and I'd probably have to go with my dad, which would double the cost, making it $240 dollars, plus we'd have to go to London too.

Although it would be nice to release a DVD of the show so I could see what they'd be like after 27 years.

Im shocked... and cannot believe CBS would cancel Jericho. This has got to be the dumbest move ever made by CBS executives. I honestly have nothing more to say but wow. I would go into detail but I would just be another person stating my two cents that means nothing to CBS. So with that being said I will try my best to stay away from all CBS shows for a while (never was a fan till Jericho anyways). What do you guys all think? Way to go CBS! You just got rid of your 1 piece of programming that's actually worth a damn. God forbid we cancel one of the 14 CSI shows to make room for a decent show with a plot. I know. It bites. Especially not even being decent enough to at least air the season finale so we could have an ending (the producers of the show have said that they had made the last episode a good wrap up in case they weren't picked up for a second season). Gilmour Girls was brought back when fans protested, so you never know, but you have to remember that every show has some fans, so the networks are used to this type of complaint. It will take an enormous groundswell of support for Jericho to bring it back. I just think they were stupid to put it up against the monolith of American Idol -- no new show can compete with Idol. I think that under the circumstances, Jericho attracted a respectable audience, and who knows -- had they put it in a different time slot, maybe the show would have done great things. I certainly won't be watching the replacement drivel -- a pirate ship? Come on. Jericho and Desperate Housewives were my only "appointment tv shows" (guaranteed to make a point of watching all episodes, schedule it into my week), and Desperate Housewives is getting a little tired. I miss Jericho already... :(

The show had like 6 viewers. You make 7. They had to cancel it.
They didn't do a very good job of portraying Western Kansas. They didn't act like a Kansan or Midwesterner would in a tragic situation. Compare the histrionics shown on Jericho to the survivors of the Greensburg tornado. They didn't cry much and with little drama, they started rebuilding. I am not surprised it is canceled.
