Ric Flair?

This has been a hot topic lately, and the opinions on this section seem to be divided. Should Ric Flair have retired a long time ago?

On the one side, he's 58 years old. He's obviously less athletic in the ring, and he's not a main-eventer anymore.

On the other hand, he's still over with the crowd. He gets big pops, he gets reactions, he pushes new talent, and can put over a pretty good match. He can sell moves still, and obviously isn't afraid to bleed.

As for my personal opinion, I respect Ric Flair more than any other wrestler in the WWE today, and maybe ever. Just that he still performs is amazing, and that shows his passion. Although it probably would've been better to leave in his prime, but it's good that this generation got to see the Nature Boy. And as for the storyline, it's absolutely perfect for him going out in a blaze of glory. It's great that he's willing to lose in his last match. That, my friends, is a true man.

Yeah he is a true man,and he should stay for atleast 3years.
You`re right . That is a true man to lose his last match , but walk out with his head held high as if he still won . Honestly , I think he should`ve retired because he`s been wrestling for a longggg time , and he`s darn near 60 ! lol . But hey , he`s still got it . Not thinking twice about going out there in front of thousands and wrestling as if it WAS his last match on earth . Man I got so much respect for Ric Flair .
He remained a pretty good in ring performer up to the last, but he didn't get the retirement Wrestlemania main event match he wanted, so he left. I see he's now endorsing and campaigning for Mike Huckabee for President (along with Chuck Norris)
Ric Flair is a big part of wrestling being popular today. He performed in so many differetn venues before the WWE became the monster it is today. Most people who a familar with wrestling will know him and his flamboyant outfits.

It takes a real man who is very confident to wear a pin sequened and feathered robe in front of millions of people and still come of a man.

WOOOOOOO!!!!!!
for sure as Ric Flair %26amp; Finlay have proved ~age is no barrier.Finlay may be almost 50,but he's solid, rough %26amp; tough %26amp;can wrestle all night.

Flair can still wrestle %26amp; work the match.Maybe not a the same pace as he used to.But he still has the moves %26amp; ability %26amp; in-ring smarts. He's still got the mic skills %26amp; can work the fans.Only Y2J got a bigger pop on Monday's Raw.He has the drive %26amp; passion for rasslin that made him sign a new 3-year deal last week.

He's going for one last run to Mania where he's set to lose %26amp; then retire.Jobbing on the greatest stage of them all W/mania just proves Ric Flair's class.
Yes he should of retired 10 years ago. He is so hard on the eyes. How long has he been around 30 or more years? I'm 24 and remember him from the verrry early years when wrestlers were fat and wore those ugly leotard things.
ric flair is a true legend in the wretling world and when he does retire alot of wrestlers are going to miss him
I think they should set a retirement age for this sport . I mean

[farce ] I am Rick Flairs age and I have seen him many times in person when he wrestled guys like Ricky [the dragon ] Steamboat, etc. It almost looked real then. Too much BS

phony stuff now. But that just my opinion.
yup i agree with you
